Free QR Code Order Form

Let customers scan one code to see the batch, quantities, and pickup details.

A QR code order form starts with a public preorder page and a QR code that opens its link. Put the code on a stall sign, flyer, or package insert, then make the printed instructions clear enough to use without help. Customers can scan the page, reserve available items, and follow the listed pickup details.

How a QR code order form works

Point a printed QR code at your live menu for markets, flyers, packaging, and pickup signs. Set the available quantities, order cutoff, and pickup details, then share one page. Customers reserve from that menu and pay in person at pickup.

The free plan includes CSV downloads for customer emails, orders, batches, items, prep lists, and discount codes. Stripe payments and automated customer emails are planned paid features, not live integrations.

Set up the page and share it

  1. 01
    Create the public order page

Add the current items, options, quantities, cutoff, and pickup instructions. Test the URL on a phone and make sure it opens without seller sign-in.

  2. 02
Create a QR code for that URL

Use a QR-code generator you trust, enter the public page address, then scan the resulting code with more than one phone. Preorder Form does not currently generate QR graphics for you.

  3. 03
Print a useful instruction beside it

Add a short call to action such as “Scan to reserve” and the pickup date. Keep the code large enough to scan from where customers will stand.

  4. 04
Place it where the next step is obvious

Use the code at a market stall, on a flyer, or in an order handout. Do not place it where the customer cannot read the pickup or product context.

  5. 05
Refresh the code when the URL changes

If you make a new store link, update the printed material. If you reuse the same page URL, check that the page has the next batch and not an expired menu.

Edit each example before sharing; messages do not send automatically.

What changes when orders are in one place?

  • A printed menu cannot show updated quantities; a QR code opens the current page.
  • A handwritten order can be hard to read; the customer selects items on the form.
  • A QR code without instructions can confuse a first-time visitor; pair it with a short “scan to reserve” prompt.
  • An old code can lead to an expired offer; scan-test the printed version before each market or event.

Practical tips for using a QR code order form

  1. Test the code after printing; print size, contrast, and surface can affect scanning.
  2. Use the public storefront URL, not a dashboard or sign-in address.
  3. Put the pickup date and collection point beside the code so people can decide whether the offer suits them.
  4. If the same URL is reused, confirm the page content is refreshed before you set out the sign.
  5. Avoid promising that the QR code automatically updates; it points to the URL you encoded.

Check inventory and pickup details before sharing; do not promise features that are not live.

Frequently asked questions

Does Preorder Form create the QR code?

Not currently. Create your public preorder page, copy its URL, and use a QR tool you trust to encode that address. Scan-test the finished code before printing it for customers.

Can a QR code point to a new menu every week?

It can point to the same public page URL if you update that page for each batch. Check the menu, cutoff, pickup time, and quantities before reusing any printed code.

Where can I put a QR code order form?

Common places include a market sign, flyer, package insert, or pickup notice. Add a short instruction, pickup date, and enough room for customers to scan the code comfortably. Check the current platform details before changing an active order.

Is Preorder Form free to use?

Yes. Preorder Form is free when customers reserve online and pay you in person at pickup. You can set up a page, manage item quantities, and download customer email addresses, orders, batches, items, prep lists, and discount codes as CSV files. Stripe payments and automated email sending are planned paid features and are not live yet.

Can customers pay online?

Online payment processing is not available yet. The current free workflow lets customers reserve items online and pay you at pickup using an offline method you arrange with them. Stripe payments are planned for a future paid plan; do not promise a card checkout until that feature is released.
