Preorder Form

A PRACTICAL ORDERING GUIDE

12 simple ways to take preorders

There is more than one way to collect a preorder. Some sellers need a simple page to set item quantities and a pickup window; others need a reliable way to share the same offer through social profiles, community chats, or a printed sign. These guides explain how each method works, which details to prepare, and what to tell customers before a batch opens. Preorder Form is free when customers reserve online and pay at pickup. Each method page includes a practical setup sequence and copy-ready examples that you can edit for your business. Social links and QR codes are sharing channels, not integrations: you create the order page first, then share its public URL yourself. The current product does not send automated email or process online payments.

A preorder method is the channel or setup a seller uses to collect reservations for a limited batch. Choose a page, social link, message, or QR code, then show item limits, an order cutoff, and pickup details. Customers reserve online and pay at pickup on the free plan.

Set up your order flow

Choose a method that fits your handover

Start with the way customers already find you, then keep the menu and reservation record in one place. A link in an Instagram profile, a WhatsApp message, or a QR code can all point to the same public preorder page. The page is where you show current products, item quantities, the cutoff, and pickup details. Before announcing a batch, test the customer link and confirm the pickup instructions make sense on a phone.

The free Preorder Form workflow is for local reservations paid at pickup. It includes CSV downloads for customer email addresses, orders, batches, items, prep lists, and discount codes. Stripe payments and automated email sending are planned paid features but are not available yet. If you need online checkout, shipping, delivery, an automatic waitlist, or scheduled email reminders, verify those requirements separately rather than assuming they are included.

Each guide uses illustrative message copy. Replace dates, amounts, product details, and collection information with your own. A copy button places the sample text on your clipboard so you can edit it in the channel you use; it does not send a message for you.
