How a local pickup order form works
Set a local collection point and pickup window so each customer knows where and when to arrive. Set the available quantities, order cutoff, and pickup details, then share one page. Customers reserve from that menu and pay in person at pickup.
The free plan includes CSV downloads for customer emails, orders, batches, items, prep lists, and discount codes. Stripe payments and automated customer emails are planned paid features, not live integrations.
Set up the page and share it
- 01Choose a practical collection point
Use a location where you can safely meet customers and hand out orders. Write the address and a recognisable landmark, and include any entry, parking, or arrival instructions.
- 02Set pickup times that match capacity
Offer windows you can manage while packing or serving. If you expect a queue, separate the times enough to make the handover workable.
- 03Connect each reservation to the window
Show the pickup date and choices on the page. Tell customers when orders close and whether someone else may collect on their behalf.
- 04Prepare and check the handout list
Review the order totals before collection, group items where useful, and keep the list at the pickup point so each order can be matched to a customer.
Copy-ready messages
Edit each example before sharing; messages do not send automatically.
Choose your pickup time when you order: {link}. Collection is at {full address}, near {landmark}, on {date}. Please arrive during your selected window and follow these instructions: {arrival details}.
Today’s pickup is at {location} between {time}. Look for {sign or landmark} and tell us the name on your order. If you need to change your time, contact us before {cutoff}.
What changes when orders are in one place?
- A chat may say “Saturday” without a time; the page gives customers the collection window before they reserve.
- A neighbourhood post may omit the address; the form keeps the location beside the offer.
- Handwritten lists can mix different pickup slots; a central order list shows what was reserved.
- Delivery questions can interrupt collection planning; the page can explain that this offer is for local pickup.
Practical tips for using a local pickup order form
- Avoid publishing a private home address unless you are comfortable sharing it; give confirmed customers any additional detail directly if needed.
- Use one specific date and timezone when the audience may be spread across regions.
- Allow time for packing and late arrivals when deciding how many pickup windows to offer.
- Include accessibility or entry details that customers need before they travel.
- Keep each pickup location and time consistent across your page and social posts.
Check inventory and pickup details before sharing; do not promise features that are not live.
Frequently asked questions
Can a local pickup form include more than one pickup time?
Yes. Add the available pickup windows you can fulfil and explain the location for each collection. Keep the schedule realistic and make sure any time shown to a customer is one you can honour.
Does Preorder Form arrange delivery?
The current product is designed for sellers to manage a preorder and local handover. Do not advertise shipping or delivery as a built-in Preorder Form feature. If you offer a separate delivery arrangement, explain it clearly outside the pickup workflow.
What should I write for the pickup location?
Give the full address or a clear public meeting point, plus the date, time window, and arrival instructions. If the exact address should only go to confirmed customers, say that on the page and provide it directly after the order.
Is Preorder Form free to use?
Yes. Preorder Form is free when customers reserve online and pay you in person at pickup. You can set up a page, manage item quantities, and download customer email addresses, orders, batches, items, prep lists, and discount codes as CSV files. Stripe payments and automated email sending are planned paid features and are not live yet.
Can customers pay online?
Online payment processing is not available yet. The current free workflow lets customers reserve items online and pay you at pickup using an offline method you arrange with them. Stripe payments are planned for a future paid plan; do not promise a card checkout until that feature is released.
